Kagura Experience at Kogakkan University

On Sunday, July 20, 2025, we offered participants a hands-on experience of kagura (Shinto sacred music and dance) at Kogakkan University. It was a special occasion to perform before the sacred altar in the university’s ceremonial-rites classroom, which students regularly use for their liturgy training. Wearing ceremonial robes, everyone practiced the fundamental movements of the dance, and the room was filled with a serene, graceful atmosphere.
